The Department of Statistics at Hasanuddin University (Unhas) has formed a strategic partnership with Universitas Islam Makassar (UIM) to work on a community service project focusing on health data. This collaboration aims to leverage expertise in statistics to enhance understanding and healthcare services in the Makassar region and its surroundings.
Within this collaborative framework, a team from the Department of Statistics at Unhas has joined forces with healthcare experts and academics from UIM to undertake a series of activities. One of the main activities is the collection of health data in several areas around Makassar.
Mr. Raupong, M.Si., the service coordinator from the Department of Statistics at Unhas, explained that the primary goal of this collaboration is to generate reliable and relevant information for decision-makers in the healthcare sector. “By utilizing statistical expertise, we hope to provide deeper insights into the health issues faced by communities in this region,” he said.
The collaboration between the Department of Statistics at Unhas and Universitas Islam Makassar is a tangible example of how statistical expertise can be used to positively impact efforts to improve public health. It is hoped that such cooperation will continue to evolve and provide greater benefits to the people of Makassar and its surrounding areas.
