The Statistics Student Association, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Hasanuddin University (Himastat FMIPA Unhas) held a regeneration momentum event, namely Bina Akrab 2023 which was coupled with community service at Villa Batulapisi, Malino on 16-18 February 2023. The Bina Akrab activity is one of the cadre processes for prospective new Himastat members. This activity was attended by 23 participants, 23 committees, and 37 Himastat administrators for the 2023-2024 period. In addition, this activity was also attended by several other guests, namely kanda-kanda residents and lecturers of the Department of Statistics, Hasanuddin University with a total of approximately 80 guests present.
The theme of Bina Akrab 2023 was the Actualisation of the Reform Movement in Solidarity and Integrity. The theme has an important meaning in the process of forming new cadres. The Reform Movement represents the spirit of change in politics, economics, and social affairs. Galang Solidaritas is an effort to unite various parties to achieve a common goal. Integrity emphasizes moral principles such as honesty and responsibility. In the context of new cadre formation, the actualization of this movement means providing cadres with a deep understanding of the importance of reform in creating positive change, building solidarity among fellow cadres to support and strengthen each other, and instilling the value of integrity as a moral foundation that must be upheld in the organization. Thus, new cadres are expected to be agents of change who can contribute positively to realizing organisational goals with integrity and solidarity.
There are several activities carried out at Bina Akrab 2023, namely a series of materials and community service activities in the form of tree planting. The material content in this activity is togetherness, discipline, independence, ethics and morals, and social sensitivity, The form of material delivery activities is carried out through a system of discussions and games.
Community service activities are one of the activities to foster awareness of social responsibility, strengthen relationships between communities and institutions, and improve the quality of life and common welfare. In addition, this activity is also an implementation of the material that participants have obtained at Bina Akrab.
Thus, Bina Akrab 2023 is not only a successful regeneration activity but also reflects Himastat FMIPA Unhas’ commitment to developing the potential of new members holistically. The success of Bina Akrab 2023 is an important momentum for Himastat FMIPA Unhas to continue to move forward and contribute significantly to society and the nation.
